School Funding-Information Needed

The District and our school receive funding each year that is partially based on counts of students who qualify for free/reduced priced meals. Since all lunches are free this year, we will lose funding without this information. You can help our school and District to obtain additional funding by filling out the Annual Family Information Form. One form is needed for each child enrolled in the District. Completion of this form can also help you to obtain lower cost services from certain other service providers such as Cox Cable. Please take a few minutes to click on the link and complete the Annual Family Information Form for each of your children attending District schools. It's only 14 questions long and it helps our school a lot. We appreciate you taking the time to complete this.

COVID-19 Information

This week, we have experienced our first cases of COVID-19 on campus for this school year. Every time there is a positive case identified on campus, I will be sending you a General/Courtesy Notice via email. You will be contacted directly by phone if your child is identified as a Close Contact. If you receive a call from our school office notifying you that your child has been identified as a Close Contact, you will be referred to the Quarantine Instructions Table (see below) to discuss your options for quarantine.

Waiting on a Test?

If you or anyone in your home is waiting on a COVID Test or believes they have Covid-19, PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL until a negative test is received. I cannot stress this enough. The actions of every household affect what happens at school. It is better to keep a child home from school until you are sure they are not Covid+ or a close contact.

Interested in getting a COVID test? Here are some locations.

iPads Going Home (ALL)

Students received their District issued iPad this week. Students use these devices to access multiple learning platforms and applications throughout the school day (e.g. instructional programs and to collaborate with their peers and teacher). To ensure all students have access to classroom curriculum even beyond the school day, we are sending iPads home with every student beginning Friday, August 27, 2021. We implemented this practice last year and it was helpful for student learning, especially if a child needed to begin a quarantine period due to COVID. Please make sure your child brings the iPad back and forth to school each day and that the device is fully charged. Please email your student's classroom teacher to inform him/her if taking the iPad home is not an option for your child.

The District offers an insurance plan for $25 per year. Click here to sign up for the iPad insurance.

Morning Drop Off 8:15am

Remember that there is no supervision offered before 8:15am. Breakfast is served at 8:00, so students can enter campus through the front gates if they participate in the breakfast program (free to all students). Please do not drop off students to wait in the lower or upper lots before 8:15.

TIGER Expectations Focus: Classroom

For the next month, our students will learn the T.I.G.E.R. expectations for the different areas around our school campus. This week, we will focus on what the T.I.G.E.R. expectations look and sound like in the classroom. Feel free to ask your student to explain how we can show Teamwork, Integrity, Goals, Empathy, and Responsibility inside the classroom!
