THE CLAW
UNT's eagle claw is a sign of the students/ alumni's pride. this also represents unity. To make " The Claw" first you hold up your fist then make a "V" ,for victory , with your index and middle fingers next extend your thumb and curl your fingers in slightly towards your palm.
BONFIRE
The bonfire takes place during homecoming week and is often called the homecoming bonfire. This tradition started in 1946 after the homecoming activities were suspended the year before due to lack of men at the school who were fighting in WWII. The bonfire is built entirely by hand a starting a week before the homecoming game starts. the bonfire was originally built by freshman and other organizations under the Talons supervision. Now the bonfire is being built by Talons and the Talon alumni.
HOMECOMING
The homecoming parade is held the morning of the homecoming game. The parade includes, extravagant floats made by students, faculty, and alumni. The homecoming parade shows the schools support and school spirit.
