What is it?

Cyberbullying- the use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature.

Nearly 43% of kids have been bullied online.

Over 80% of teenagers use cell phones, making it the most common way of being bullied.

Only 1 in 10 teenagers will inform a parent or adult about the bullying.

Bullying victims are 2 out of 9 times more likely to commit suicide.

Prevention

Learn about cyber bullying and know what it is.

Protect your passwords.

Be careful what you post online.

Keep photos appropriate.

Never open unidentified messages or talk to anyone you don't know.

Log out of online accounts.

Set up privacy controls.

Don't be a cyber bully yourself!
