Summer Learning
Escape the dreaded summer slide. Help your students remember what they learned this school year by participating in our summer learning program.
The children need to complete 45 pages in the Summer Bridge Activities workbook and read 60 minutes a week all summer (660 total minutes). The children must complete BOTH parts of the summer program in order to earn the prizes.
The prizes include:
A special beginning of the year field day with ice cream
A gold library card that will allow them to check out one more book than normal at the Dyer Media Center
A special Skype visit with famous children's author, Aaron Reynolds, and a popcorn party
All of the information you need for the summer program can be found on our special website dedicated to our summer learning efforts. You can download extra copies of the reading log from the summer website, too.
