GREAT ENTHUSIASM
HUGE TAKE UP ON FIRST EDITION OF BIG BAND BUDDIES MAGAZINE
1000 take up the link
Our August edition and first ‘ON LINE’ version of Big band Buddies Magazine was viewed by over 1000 visitors over a 7 day period. We thank all those who took enough interest in it to stay on line to read through the pages. With this encouragement and your letters received we will endeavour to keep your interest by publishing current and archive articles for all new ‘On Line’ subscribers and past members who had received though subscription membership our hard copy published throughout the past 17 years.
We would invite you to suggest a direction you would like to see us take with our articles, subjects to cover, current bands you know of, photos and your letters welcome. At present we are planning our next publication for a September edition so now is the time to send us anything you would like us to include.
Assuming the take up of this ‘On Line’ magazine is maintained and/or has an increased readership we will try and publish once a month. Please pass on our links to your friends where ever they live around the world inviting them to contact us with any interest they have in the world off our kind of music, the big band, Jazz, swing and popular songs of today and yesterday.

My interest was enhanced greatly when in 1999 I started my website to find like minded people when I thought I was the only one left, as nobody around me seemed to know much about the music of the great era of big bands. I was soon to find out I was wrong and everything changed and BBBI magazine was soon to follow.

Hi Pete,
This is my first introduction to it, and I've found the reading so far, very interesting and enjoyable. The information you relayed on the 'untold facts' of Glenn Miller's career during the war, was fascinating.
Very best wishes
Mary Goodland.

Hi Pete
Just a word about the first edition of the Big Band buddies Magazine.
I thought it was excellent and very informative and I’m sure all of our readers will feel the same.
As you have said, it would be nice if readers can add a few words to the magazine and to add maybe a chat page between us across the world. As in this modern time it is so much easier to communicate with people other that putting pen to paper and the added cost of postage which must have been colossal for you.Well I can only hope we all pull together and keep this new venture of the BBBM on the go.

Hi Pete
The online BBB is a really good read and with the you tube bits and Dennis Spragg's presentation it took me 3 hours to get through which I did all in one go.
Regards
