The Pirate Way
Hello Pirates!
As we welcome you back to our dynamic and ever-evolving campus, I wanted to take a moment to express sincere gratitude for your dedication and unwavering commitment, especially during a time of numerous changes. You and your students willingness to adapt and embrace the challenges that come with change has not gone unnoticed. These changes are driving force behind our collective success, and we genuinely appreciate your willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our continued progress. We know that this change to a complex block master schedule was at first confusing, but I can assure you that the students are already understanding the changes. I am also confident that the additional time in our classes, due to the block schedule, will produce more in depth dives into our curriculum and the addition of our advisory class will increase the relationships we build on campus. These are only a few benefits of our schedule, but I know they will also positively impact our A-G graduation rates and the overall literacy of our students.
These changes, though sometimes demanding, have also provided us with opportunities to grow and innovate. We are excited to have you back on board, as your fresh perspective and insightful ideas will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping our path forward.
As we navigate these changes together, please know that your efforts have not gone unnoticed. Your commitment to our shared goals is truly commendable, and we are confident that your continued contributions will lead us to new heights.
Once again, thank you for your dedication, flexibility, and unwavering trust. We look forward to embarking on this journey of growth and innovation together, knowing that as we change the direction of our ship it is in the best interests of ALL of our students, families, staff, and Oceanside community!
Pirates you are a part of something big! You belong and will always belong in the Oceanside High School Pirate Community. What an amazing feeling to realize you belong to something bigger than the individual Pirate, but rather part of a 100 year plus Pirate Ship Community!
Regardless of where you may go and no matter what you end up accomplishing the one thing that you have to count on is that you will ALWAYS be a PIRATE!
Stay safe! Know you are loved and belong to the Pirate community - this is the Pirate Way!

Do You Ride the Bus to Camp Pendleton?
This year OUSD will be requiring the students who ride the buses from Camp Pendleton to OHS to have bus ID's, for each student, which they will have to present to the bus driver to board the bus. The link is on the OUSD transportation website.
Blackboard
OUSD messages families using a platform called Blackboard Communications. This allows teachers and staff to send an email, text or voice message directly to the email address or phone number you have listed in Aeries. It’s important that all the adults in your student’s life have updated contact information in Aeries so everyone can receive important messages from your student’s school.
You no longer need to download any third party apps to receive messages from OUSD. The only district supported app that families should download is the OUSD app.Check your email or spam folder. Your login and password for the app have been sent from
noreply@parentlink.net to the email you have in Aeries.
