Drive for Desktop- #92
Mineral Wells ISD staff used Backup & Sync which then migrated over to File Stream. When Google realized end users were using both they unified these sync clients, bringing the most used features from both File Stream and Backup and Sync to create one tool,
the Google Drive for Desktop tool.
What Do I Need to Do?
Teachers, please make sure you have Drive for Desktop actively running on your laptop. If you do not, please put in a technology ticket so your Campus Technician can help you with this move. This will help recover important files if your laptop were to crash.
Question Mark on G Drive 👆🏻
Now, let's check. Click on the manila file folder on your laptop on the system tray ---> find the (G:) Drive ---> check to see if the question mark has disappeared. If so, great! If not, please put in a technology work ticket so we can look more into it.
