Student Schedules - Available TOMORROW!
Transportation information, including bus numbers and stops, will be available on Friday, August 12.
"Walkabout" Day - Monday, August 15
We would like to invite all of our Frontier families to Walkabout Day on Monday, August 15 from 9am-12pm and 3-6pm. This serves as an opportunity for students to walk the building and become familiarized with the location of their classrooms. While visiting the campus, families will also have the opportunity to meet with PTSA members and learn about intramurals, clubs, extracurricular activities, and 8th-grade sports that are offered at Frontier. Please bring either a hard copy or a digital copy of your child(ren)’s schedule. (Schedules will be viewable on the Student Portal at 4pm on Friday, August 5.)
Maps of the building will be available in the front foyer, and the administrative team and counselors will be available for any questions you may have or assistance you may need. During the morning session, Travlin’ Toms Coffee will be here for purchase, and Kona Ice will be here during both sessions! (Please note that most classrooms will be locked, as the times during which our doors will be open are outside of teacher work hours.)
If you are unable to attend either of the times on Monday, August 15, the building will also be accessible on Thursday, August 18 from 3-5pm and Friday, August 19 from 12-3pm. Although staff will not be available at those times, students and families will be free to walk throughout the building.
Please also know that we will have signage posted and a multitude of staff members on hand during the first day of school to help your student locate his/her classrooms. Hard copies of schedules will also be available to all students in their first hour class. We are committed to ensuring that all of our students feel comfortable upon entering our doors, no matter their level of familiarity with the physical building.
School Supplies and Chromebooks
Middle school students are allowed to carry book bags to and from their classes. With students carrying book bags, they will be able to carry needed supplies with them, much like students in our WSD high schools.
The supply list is available here.
As a reminder, all middle school students in the WSD will have a Chromebook issued to them. Returning 8th graders should have their Chromebook from last year. Our 6th graders, 7th graders, and any 8th graders new to FMS will receive their Chromebook from their teachers during the first week of school.
*Lockers are no longer issued by WSD middle schools, as most student resources are available on their Chromebooks.*

WSD Back to School Fair - Saturday, August 13
The WSD will host the 12th Annual Back to School Fair for District families on Saturday, August 13, from 8-11am at Liberty High School. The event is intended to get school supplies in the hands of students who need them the most.
The event is free for District families and will feature dozens of vendors, free school supplies, games and fun activities for children. At last year's event, we distributed over $10,000 worth of school supplies to WSD students. In addition, MoCHIP will be on hand to provide free child identification kits.
While the event is free, families are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Operation Food Search, which serves local families in need. For more information about the Fair, visit the WSD website.
