5th Grade Band Notes
December 3, 2014
Our big day is almost here!
The fifth grade band will present their first concert very soon on Wednesday, December 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the Schiesher Elementary Large Gym! Students should plan to arrive in the small gym/cafeteria at 6:30 pm.
Band students are asked to wear “dress clothes” for the performance. Try to avoid jeans, sweats, and gym shoes. Seasonal colors are encouraged! Students can certainly wear Santa hats or other similar fun attire if they wish.
In addition to our evening concert, we will be playing a short program for the school the morning of the 17th at 9 AM. All students must bring their instruments and folding music stands to school with them on the 17th. Please make sure that your child’s name is clearly marked on their music stand so it does not get taken by another student!
When the evening concert is over, we will have an unofficial ice-cream party at McDonalds. I am inviting any students who feel like celebrating to head to McDonalds and enjoy an ice cream on me. I am extremely proud of every student in band and this is the least I can do to say thank you to them for all their hard work the last 3 months.
Agenda for the concert night
