Week-At-A-Glance
The Weekly Update for NPHS Staff, May 11 - May 15, 2020
Thank You !
Hello Patriot Staff,
Don't let this go to your head, but NPHS has a talented staff who cares for kids.
At the same time, I think it appropriate right now that you should extend your right arm across your left shoulder and give yourself a pat on the back while saying these words: "Good job this year____________(insert your first name)."
It's obvious to me from the reactions of our students on social media, that they know their teachers and support staff care about them and that they are getting a good education at NPHS. Sorry I can't offer you the 10% military discount at the popular box stores, but as guardians of the homeland, you certainly deserve it.
Speaking of our homeland, let us not forget in this time of increased restrictions and fears that we do live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. I encourage you to seek a healthy lifetyle balance in these trying times.
Have a good week,
John Fink
Interim Principal
Information You Should Know:
• Onsite protocol: We are still required to maintain social distancing and wear a cloth face mask around others when in close proximity.
• Custodial Schedule Update: All 5 of our custodial crew will be coming into the school from noon - 8 pm for the entire month of May. Currently, we are allowing 20 personnel on the onsite manifest. However, mandates are being updated...and when we get new information on this from Central Office, we will let you know.
• Look at the Manifest!: Before entering the building, please make sure your name is here (use tabs at the bottom to navigate), or call first to receive administrative permission. Thank you for your cooperation.
• Textbook & Chromebook Collection: They're all due this Friday, May 15th from students. After that, students who have textbooks and Chromebooks not returned will be assessed fees.
• Grades Finalized: Teacher S2 grades must be finalized before leaving for the summer. The deadline to do this is May 19, 2020.
• Senior Graduation will air as a pre-recorded ceremony on Channel 11, Thursday, May 14th, at 7 pm. Student speakers are Owen Luo, Anthony Iles, Jake Wade, Olivia Ode, and Clayson Wiley; the faculty speaker is Jerry Million. The graduation committee: Dina, Chris, Matthew, Brad, Richard, Audra, Andrea, Jennifer, Marianna, Larnetia, and Elizabeth B have done, and are doing, amazing work to make this happen.
