Message from Dr. Reilly
I wanted to share a quick update about the playground enhancements funded by our STEAM fundraiser. We are finalizing the quote for the Edumarkings on the playground. I will update you with a timeline as soon as they are ready to begin the process. As part of the fundraiser, we earned credit at the STEAM store. The committee is finalizing selections and the list will be shared when we place the order. See below for some of the exciting ideas for our playground.

The State of Texas 2019-20 School Report Card for Farney Elementary has been publicly released and is now posted on our campus website.
This is a report required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. It is to be sent to the parent or guardian of every child enrolled in a Texas public school. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures.

Release of Information Forms
If you are needing Behavior Rating Scales completed or are wanting the school to communicate with an outside entity, private tutor, doctor etc. , you will need to complete a Release of Information Form for this school year. You can request this form through the counseling office. When asking teachers to complete Behavior Rating Scales, you will need to give one week’s notice to allow teachers ample time to complete the forms. These forms will be faxed directly to the doctor’s office and you will be notified once this is completed.
Credit By Exam
Although the application window has closed to be able to skip a grade for the current 20-21 school year, there are 2 opportunities available during the year to test to skip for the 21-22 school year. Please see the district website for testing dates and application deadlines..
