Walk Through American Revolution
Thursday, May 23, 2013
Dear Parents,
On Thursday, May 23, our students will go on a “Walk Through The American Revolution.” This is an exciting program for our students to learn more about their country. In order to prepare for the program the children must memorize their card(s) and rehearse their part. The students are given points for dramatic interpretation of Character Cards. We need you to help your child practice his/her part using a clear, strong speaking voice. On the day of the program the students should bring the card(s) back to school. Also, on the day of the program your child should dress up to represent their part of America’s history. The cards include ideas for props to enhance the part.
On Thursday, May 19, you are welcome to come and watch all, or part of the program. It is 2 1/2 hours long. Mrs. Gurley’s class will be in the Walk Through from 8:45 - 11:15, and Mrs. Gauthier’s class will be in the Walk Through from 11:45 – 2:15. Due to the schedule, we will need to change the lunchtime for Mrs. Gauthier’s class. It is necessary for the students to bring their lunch, so they can eat prior to the presentation. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Gurley and Becky Gauthier
