Take Five with Ms. Canny, 5th Grade ELA & SS
- Is your glass half full or half empty? I try to look at my glass half full. I prefer to be happy!
- What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? f I could only take 3 things on a deserted island, I would take 1. my cat, 2. a taco, and 3. a good book.
- What was your favorite subject in school? My favorite subject in school was definitely reading, but I have a soft spot for math, too.
- What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten? The most unusual thing I have eaten was Peanut Butter Bacon Pizza. It was so good! It had peanut butter sauce, was baked, and topped with bacon. Unfortunately, the restaurant that I got it from is closed now. :(
- Do you collect anything? Why? I collect many things, I am pretty sentimental. I will collect seashells from places I have visited, flower petals from bouquets I was given or found, and notes or artwork from my students.

Harmony Mask Policy
Harmony Mask Policy
(Effective Immediately)
- Masks will be required for all persons inside Harmony Public Schools buildings and transportation services (ex. buses). If an individual does not have a mask, one will be provided.
- For students and staff members who are unable to wear a mask, a mask exception form is available in each student and staff member’s Skyward account.
When it comes to masks, there may be no perfect policy for all families. Masks have become one of the more hotly debated issues of our time. The one thing we can all agree on, though, is that we all look forward to a day when no one needs to wear a mask.
In the late spring and early summer, many of us believed that day was close. Unfortunately, it’s not quite here yet. But by working together, we will get there – hopefully soon.
For now, we’re asking for Harmony to mask up. It’s good science, and it’s what is best for kids. Thank you.
Best,
Emin Cavusoglu, M. Ed. | Area Superintendent | Houston North
