NCVPS Français 3

Mme Hardy

Introducing Madame Hardy

Bonjour! My name is Jenica Hardy and I am excited to have your child in my online French 3 class this year! I'm originally from the Chicago area but have been living in Virginia just outside DC for the past ten years. I've been teaching face-to-face my entire time here and just started teaching for NCVPS in September. I love the French language and culture and am excited to help cultivate that same love in my students! Please don't hesitate to contact me at the phone number or email address below if you have any questions or concerns.

End of Week 1!

We're finishing up our first week in French 3! Students have been working hard on getting all their assignments completed on time! Most students are on track but there are a few students who have a little bit of catching up to do. I've included below the assignments they should have already finished as well as the assignments that will be due next week. We are currently working on Unit 1 and will continue to do so next week. While due dates are listed as Fridays, students have an extra week to complete assignments. If they do not complete assignments within that time, they will receive a zero on it and the assignment will no longer be available to complete. I will make sure to notify both the students and you before assignments are closed permanently.

Most students have been doing a great job communicating with me when they have issues. I've been encouraging them to call, IM, text or BB message me. I'd love to have one-on-one contact with every student at least once a week so please encourage them to keep in touch!

Live Classes

Students are required to attend one LIVE CLASS per unit. This is a great opportunity to interact with both me and other students as well as get questions answered in real time. There will be TWO live classes available next week for Unit 1:

Monday, January 26th, 6pm (Madame Hardy)

Thursday, January 29th, 8pm (Madame Barraza)

Students can attend any French 3 teacher's class. Please encourage your child to be there! They log in to the live class via Blackboard.

How to Access the Peer Tutoring Center

The Peer Tutoring Center is a great resource offered by NCVPS! In addition to getting help from their teachers, students can connect with other students for extra practice and help on the course. Click here for information on how to access the PTC.
