SJS Peek at the Week
Week of September 30th, 2019
Seventh week of school....
This past week we had our first Scholastic Book Fair and it was a huge success!! Thank you to Mrs. O'Brien who ran the book fair and inspires our children to read during library and beyond. Special thanks also to all the students, teachers, and parents who participated in the book fair and especially to those parents who stayed after curriculum night to help set up the fair!! Many, many thanks! We are so blessed to have a community of happy helpers!
PTO met to finalize the plans for our classroom parties, community-wide Halloween Party, and candle fundraiser. It was especially nice to see some new faces in the group. Thank you for your involvement, time and talents.
Girls VB continues and boys soccer is up and running. Boys had their first soccer game. The boys came to school the next day smiling and joking around about how they played. Super happy to see the athletes having fun while working hard! Way to go athletes.
Band is up and running with a total of 18 students who we are so proud of for putting themselves out there to learn a new instrument. And for the returning band students for putting forth the effort to fine tune your skills.
Please join us for family mass this Sunday at 9:30am in English or at 11:00am for mass in Spanish. Please wear your school uniform and come and sit by Harrison and I or your teacher at the 9:30 mass. I may even bring a special prize if you attend either of the masses.
Please continue to use this weekly newsletter as our major way to communicate from school to home. This newsletters intended purpose is to help our families keep up-to-date on current school related events and important dates to mark in your calendars. Newsletters will be no longer be printed on paper. This newsletter is available in a digital form only, hoping to help reduce the quantity of paper we purchase. We will post weekly newsletters to class Dojo as well as Facebook for easy convenience and accessibility. Please continue to call me or the office if any questions or concerns arise. Thank you for entrusting your child/children to our care.
May God continue to bestow his blessings upon us all!
Peace and joy,
Mrs. Rybarczyk
