ROYAL REVIEW (4-16-2021)

To be Christ-centered in our words, thoughts, and actions.

THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION

Last night, I was blessed to attend my youngest daughter's Confirmation. I always find Bishop Rhoades' Masses wonderful; but to witness my daughter receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, was so beautiful.

Our 8th Grade parents will be able to receive this same blessing next week, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, @ the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Please pray for the following Confirmandi who will be receiving the Holy Spirit in Sacrament:

Danna Chiqui

Rafael Chiqui Sotamba

Jimena Delira-Quintana

Destiny Espinoza

Giovanni Espinoza

Brayden Gerardot

Darla Lozada

Morgan McLaughlin

Daniel Navarro

Mia Nino

Kylie Reitman

Angela Vazquez

Many the Lord continue to bless these 12 Confirmandi as they continue the journey.

VIRTUE = STRENGTH

Our virtue this week is ENDURANCE - The strength to suffer through adversity with courage. Beginning new activities is relatively easy but sticking with them, especially when the “newness” wears off and the going gets tough … only through ENDURANCE will we fight through and accomplish our goals and dreams.

PRAYER TO ST SEBASTIAN

Dear Commander at the Roman Emperor's court, you chose to be a soldier of Christ and dared to spread faith in the King of Kings---for which you were condemned to die. Your body, however, proved athletically strong and the executing arrows extremely weak. So another means to kill you was chosen and you gave your life to the Lord.

May all of us be always as strong in our faith as you have been. Amen.
