#MakeADifferenceMonday
Tune in every Monday for #MakeADifferenceMonday where we will feature a stakeholder, student, or fellow alumni answering "Five questions for B-C-S"
This week B-C-S is featuring, Senior at Penta Career Center, Frank Johnson
1. Please tell the B-C-S Community a little about yourself.
- There’s a lot of things I could go on to talk about. From the eyes of fellow classmates and teachers, I am a quite young guy with determination. Most of my friends know me for either my truck I am rebuilding from the frame up or my love for white water kayaking. Being beyond blessed I have been fortunate to paddle in many states and even being sent to Canada to run bigger rapids. I followed my vision of taking my education to another level by attending Penta Career Center to become an Electrician. Soon I will be graduating with the same diploma as I normally would but with a background that will last forever in the trades. I’m currently employed at Mathews Ford as a mechanic. Here I have opportunities to grow my resume even stronger with more certifications through Ford.
2. What are your career plans and goals and how do you plan to achieve them?
- My career path remains in an uncertain destination. Three options remain open at the moment, apply for an inside wiremen program or the VDV program they offer and becoming a mechanic.
3. What is your favorite High School memory?
- My favorite high school memory that didn’t involve me getting in trouble was probably just learning in chemistry. My Chemistry teacher was the best teacher ever!
4. What is the best advice you could give to an underclassman?
- There is no such thing as being smart. The only difference is they applied themselves.
5. What's on your bucket list this summer?
- Finishing my truck, moving out, and white water kayaking!
