Head Coaching Hires:
Southwest is proud to announce two new additions to our head coaching family. Ms. Payton Meyer will be taking the reigns as our head boys tennis coach beginning in the 2021-2022 season. Coach Meyer has been a part of both our girls and boy’s tennis programs as the varsity assistant for the last several years, and served as the interim head coach for the boys program this past spring. The boys had an outstanding spring season and we are excited to have Coach Meyer on board permanently to lead the program.
We now move from the courts to the diamond and are excited to introduce Mrs. Jessica Wedermyer as our head softball coach. Coach Wedermyer has been in the opposing dugout as the varsity assistant for BVW for the past three years. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge as well as an extreme passion for the game. Prior to beginning her career in teaching and coaching at BVW she attended Drury University and was a member of the Panther softball team. Coach Wedermyer pitched for Drury University over the course of her four years while obtaining a degree in secondary education. Coach Wedermyer will continue teaching at BVW where she is a physics instructor.
We are very excited and fortunate to have Coach Meyer and Coach Wedermyer lead our programs as head coaches. Information regarding the upcoming seasons and specific program correspondence will follow shortly. Congratulations and GO TIMBERWOLVES!!
