My Kindergartener still has their iPad they used. What do we do?
We will not be collecting iPads from our current Kindergartners so that they can continue accessing learning materials and resources over the summer! iPads will be collected the first week of the 23-24 school year. At this time, students will exchange the iPad for a Chromebook.
Any current kindergartner who is not returning to a U-46 school, however, must return their iPad at the end of the 22-23 school year.
Last Day of Classes is Wednesday, May 31st
The last day of classes for students is Wednesday, May 31. Students will have classes every weekday until May 31 other than Monday, May 29. U-46 schools and offices are closed on May 29 for the Memorial Day holiday.
Please remember that it is extremely important that our students are in school and on time to class every day, right up until the end of the school year.
Every day in school counts and helps build the foundation for your child’s academic success. It is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as collaborate with their peers on rigorous, standards-aligned tasks that require critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. When your child is absent, they miss out on this collaboration.

Care Solace
U-46 has partnered with Care Solace, a mental health care coordination service, to better connect students, staff, and their families to quality care. This is a free resource provided by U-46. If you are looking for help with mental health or substance use, Care Solace will quickly and confidentially find available partners matched to your needs. Students, staff, and families may access Care Solace in two ways: Call 888-515-0595 at any time. A Care Solace coordinator will help you research options, secure appointments, and follow up to make sure it is a good fit. An alternative is to visit caresolace.com/u46 to answer a few questions and get matched with an extensive list of care providers. The website also has more information about Care Solace’s relationship with community partners, how it keeps information confidential and securely stored, and more.
