Create with Technology!
Technology integration in the classroom is essential! Technology should not just be used to prepare for testing. Yes, we needed to prepare our students for the online tools they would be using during the test but it is not the only reason you should infuse technology into your everyday lessons. Students need to create, collaborate, and problem solve with technology! Motivate your students with technology by making it a part of your everyday classroom. Step out of your comfort zone and learn something new and let your students teach you something. Please let me know how I can help. I would be happy to meet with you and plan a lesson or give ideas of how you can modify your lessons to include technology. Don't let the technology that has been purchased go to waste!

SWAY with a Novel
8th Grade Students created SWAY presentations based off of the theme of a novel they had been reading which included finding pictures and a song that depicts the same theme and explaining how it relates to the theme.
Research with SWAY
6th and 8th grade are planning on creating SWAY presentations on the topics of space and elements on the periodic table after they have researched their topics. They will then present their research to the class.
SWAY with Poetry
7th Grade Students created SWAY presentations on a characteristic that described themselves. They had to find poetry, music, and pictures that depicted that characteristic. They also had to analyze the poem and the song and explain how it represented that characteristic.
