FRONTIER EAGLE NEWS - UPDATE!
August 18, 2020
Building Information and Tour
The entire school community of FMS would like you to again welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year! Frontier Middle School's mission statement is "Frontier - the place to be, to learn, to teach, to grow." Regardless of whether our school year is in a blended learning model (Level 2), face-to-face instruction (Level 1), virtual learning (Level 3), or a mixture of all - 2020-2021 is going to be a GREAT year!
Below we have a link to our "Welcome to FMS 2020-2021" presentations. These presentations are in lieu of our in-person Locker Day and 7th Grade Parent Night. The first is a link to a Google Slides presentation. This presentation can be viewed at your own pace. The second one is a link to the same Google Slides presentation, but it is in a virtual format through a video application called Loom. The presentation is narrated and contains additional more information.
Again welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. We cannot wait to see our students virtually and/or in person!
Friends, Family, Frontier!

CHROMEBOOK DISTRIBUTION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
We want to take this opportunity to clear up confusion regarding Chromebook distribution. At this time, our Chromebook distribution (which will occur on Wednesday and Thursday from 9-11 AM and 1-3 PM) is ONLY for our Virtual Academy students. Per District direction, Chromebooks for all other students will be distributed to students on their first day of in-person attendance. For our AA students, this will be on Monday, August 24th, and for our BB students, it will be on Thursday, August 27th.
The at-home learning assignments for our BB students will emailed to parents by 6 PM on Sunday, August 23rd. The assignments will not require use of technology, as we understand that many students (our BB day 7th graders and new 8th graders) will not have their Chromebook yet.
Please note that an optional $20 insurance program is available for all students (Virtual Academy and in-person). The insurance is good for one year. To obtain more information about the program and to access the required signature page, you may download the PDF that is included below. At this time, the District does not have an online payment option. Checks should be made payable Wentzville School District.
We sincerely apologize for the confusion, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate together through Level 2.
A MESSAGE FROM THE NURSE
IMMUNIZATIONS
- The Missouri state law requires that all students be immunized against vaccine-preventable diseases. The Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis Vaccine (Tdap) as well as the Meningococcal Vaccine (MCV4) are required for all incoming 8th graders.

- Medication drop-off must be done by appointment only. Please contact Nurse Alisha directly. Her information is provided below.
