Are Your Creatives Common?

What the heck are creative commons?

The Basic Rules of Creative Commons.

• It lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, as long as they credit you for the original creation.

• It allows for redistribution as long as it is passed along unchanged and in whole, with credit to you.

• This allows others to download your works and share them with others as long as they credit you, but they can’t change them in any way.

• All new works based on yours will carry the same license, so anything derived from you will also allow commercial use.

Why Do We Have This?

We use creative commons for instant accessibility. Because of it, I can use the photo of the creative commons logo on the right without citing anything. This is really important because I can then share works everywhere, and it is all protected. Creative commons makes your work flexible and sharable.
