Edward John Thye
Edward John Thye was the 26th governor of Minnesota from 1943-1947. Thye started out in ww1 and returned to MN as a sales man at Deere and Webber Co.. Thye worked at deer until 1922 when he bacme a manager and owner of a dairy farm near north field. Then in 1925 Thye was voted to a city council which is when he started his political career. In his political career Thye also became director of the twin cities milk producers association. He then joined the Republican Party and won governor of MN he was governor for 43 to 47. This how ever was not the end of his political career. After governor he ran for US senator and won he served in the senate from 47-59 when he lost his reelection campaign in 1958. He later died at 73 in 1969. He was good in agriculture due to his work at an implement shed and work on dairy farms.
