WWA's Weekly Newsletter

Week of August 22nd, 2022

WWA's Mission: “Ensure all students are learning at high levels.”

What A Week!

It was great to have students outside enjoying morning recess prior to school for the first time in over two years! Coach Brady did a great job working with all of our students talking to them about expectations outside, where to play etc. Our staff have reported that students did an excellent job, taking care of one another and helping each other out in the morning. Thank you to our students and parents for encouraging everyone to follow the school's expectations for that morning recess time!

Curriculum Night is an important evening to attend in support of your student's success. Please plan ahead to be here the evening of the 23rd. Please see below for the available times.

Finally just a few friendly reminders in regards to end of day pick up. If you need to pick up your student early from school we understand the need from time to time. If you are coming in to pick up early, please arrive by 2:50 PM to make the request prior to 3:00 PM. After 3:00 PM we do not call down to classrooms because this is an exceptionally busy time of the school day as students are wrapping up their day, receiving final instructions for homework, etc. Whispering Wind Academy appreciates parents' understanding and patience with this measure to maximize student learning time in the classroom.

Sincerely,

Johnny Brownlie

Principal
