Celebrate the Wins!
Every day you get up and connect with kids. That's a win. Every time ONE child comes to a Google Meet it's a win. When you get a notification that an assignment has been turned in, you have something to celebrate. As you open your email and you have students or parents asking questions, it's a win. A returned email, phone call, or text should be celebrated. When you have a kid reach out to you to tell you they are struggling, consider it a win. Every one of these circumstances demonstrates your connection to our students.
Success takes on many meanings. Cory and I continue to celebrate you and your efforts. In the last eight weeks, you have completely changed the format of your teaching. You have embraced this opportunity and continue to overcome the challenges that have come your way. You have worked together to think outside-the-box to provide engaging learning opportunities for all of our students. We continue to get positive feedback from our families and they are appreciative of your efforts. We are grateful for all of you and everything that you have accomplished. Please continue to reach out to us with your needs and let us know how we can support you and your students.
UPDATES & UPCOMING
- Staffing assignments for 2020-21 have been completed and communicated.
- Master scheduling will begin next week. Once completed, we will communicate your schedule to you.
- Some core team revisions need to be made based on district-approved staffing levels. We will share your 2020-21 team with you soon.
- We are going to ask our room assignment team to review their work in light of new team assignments and make recommendations for any necessary changes.
- Early next week we will begin scheduling times for teachers to clean out their classrooms. We will begin with any staff not returning to Wilson next year. We will then schedule people changing rooms. Then the folks who are remaining in their current room will be scheduled. We anticipate this process to take around 3 weeks.
Interested in Summer School?
- If we have our normal summer school, are you interested in helping with our Wilson Welcome for incoming 6th graders?
- If we had to hold summer school virtually, are you interested in teaching? If so, what are you interested in teaching?
