Clearing Cache
In computing, the cache is your browser history - a list of every page you've visited online and the time you were there. It's a place on your hard disk where the browser keeps things downloaded once in case they are needed again.
Therefore, clearing the cache means emptying it, so the next time you display a webpage, everything must be downloaded again.
It is important to know that after clearing the cache, you will have to refresh your browser.
Here are the instructions on how to clear cache in your browser:
Google Chrome:
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More.
- Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
- At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
- Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
- Click Clear data.
Safari:
- Click Safari on the upper left-hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences.
- In the window that appears, click the Advanced tab. Select the Develop menu in menu bar checkbox and close the Preferences window.
- Select the Develop drop-down menu. Click Empty Cache.
Mozilla Firefox:
- Click on the menu button in the upper right corner, click Firefox and select Preferences.
- Select the Privacy & Security panel.
- In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data.
- Remove the check mark in front of Cookies and Site Data.
- With Cached Web Content check marked, click the Clear button.
- Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
Internet Explorer:

If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
