If you're student is receving an award you will be notified today via email and your student will also recieve a letter to take home.

MAKE UP HOURS

If your student owes make-up hours they are in danger of not receiving credit for one or more classes this year.

BASEBALL CAMP INFORMATION

SPRING CHOIR CONCERT

The choir is holding their Spring Concert on Thursday May 19th at 7:00 pm. From 6:00-7:00 pm, there will be a silent auction with all proceeds going to pay for equipment and supplies that support the choir. Many local businesses have donated items and services. Each of the 4 choirs are collecting items for baskets that will also be auctioned. Donations are still needed. Please contact Mac Chestnut or Sharon Ward lpc.ward@yahoo.com for more information.

Health Reminders


Proper hygiene is important to remain healthy. Always remember to:

1. Carefully wash hands before and after changing diapers, using the toilet, eating, preparing food, and handling animals.

2. Ensure that small children are washing hands after using the toilet.

3. Regularly disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, counter tops, and other high-touch items.

Children and staff with vomiting, fever, or diarrhea should not attend school, childcare, or public activities until 24 hours after symptoms resolve without medication.

Let’s wash those hands and stay well!

La higiene es importante para mantenerse saludable. Siempre recuerde:


1. La medida preventiva más importante es lavarse cuidadosamente las manos después de ir al baño, cambiar pañales, después de tener contacto con animales y antes de preparar y servir alimentos. Asegúrese de supervisar a los niños pequeños al lavarse las manos después de ir al baño.

Yearbooks are scheduled to be distributed the week of May 16th during MegaLunch. Check the lists posted outside the Auditorium to see if YOUR copy has been paid for.


NGC distribution will take place on Friday, May 20th during MegaLunch.

ROO BASEBALL: AREA CHAMPIONS

VARSITY

The Kangaroo Baseball team took on Frenship High School in an area round playoff series this past weekend at Abilene Christian University. The Roos came away with a 6-4 win in game 1 and a 6-3 win in game 2. In the 1st game Parker B picked up the win on the mound going 5 2/3 innings while striking out 5. Garrett M came on to pick up the save throwing 1 1/3 innings and striking out 2. The Roos scored two runs in the 1st inning on a 2 RBI single by Joey M. Bryce B, Preston E, Nick R, and Monaco had the rest of the hits in Game 1.





In game 2 Spencer H went the distance on the mound striking out 8 Tigers and allowing just 4 hits to get the win. The Kangaroo offense exploded for 14 hits being led by Joey M and Bryce B with 3 hits a piece. Mason Z and Preston E added 2 hits each. Spencer H and Parker B also key RBI singles in the ball game. DeMarcus G played great defense on the weekend for the Roos.





The Kangaroos will advance to the regional quarterfinals for the 1st time since 2009 when they will take on Midland Lee in a 2 out of 3 game series in Abilene at Hardin Simmons University. Game 1 will be Friday at 7:00 PM, Game 2 on Saturday at 1:00 PM, and Game 3 30 minutes after game 2 if necessary.
