Your Middle School Update for Week 19
Mrs. Hansen's Message
Positive Behavior Expectations
Our shared goal is to provide students with an environment where they can thrive academically and develop into responsible and respectful individuals.
To ensure that our school remains safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning, I kindly request that you revisit and emphasize the following expectations with your students:
Be Safe: Remind students of the importance of physical and emotional safety within the classroom. Encourage them to be mindful of their actions and surroundings, promoting a secure space for everyone.
Be Responsible: Reinforce the value of responsibility in academic endeavors and interpersonal relationships. Encourage students to take ownership of their learning, complete assignments promptly, and contribute positively to the classroom community.
Be Respectful: Emphasize the significance of mutual respect among students, faculty, and staff. Encourage open communication, empathy, and consideration for diverse perspectives to cultivate a respectful and inclusive environment.
By reinforcing these expectations, we contribute to a positive and nurturing atmosphere where students can flourish academically and personally.
Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Test: January 9th-11th
The MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test helps our teachers and school measure student growth in math and reading as they make progress throughout the school year. Please talk to your student about the importance of taking the test seriously!
MAP is a three-part test that measures student knowledge in reading, language usage and mathematics.
