Student of the Month

Big picture

Uniforms!

As the weather gets colder we ask that students come to school with weather appropriate uniforms. At this point, shorts are no longer allowed.

Students will not be allowed to wear outerwear while in the classroom. Please send them with a non-hooded sweatshirt, sweater or cardigan to wear over their collared shirts. Navy blue, white, light blue, gray and black are approved colors for sweatshirts, sweater, and/or cardigan.

School Behaviorist!

When the pandemic hit our country, it also impacted our students social emotional awareness. With that being said, we are so excited to welcome an outside company to help with Positive Behavior Supports (PBS). Staff have received workshops on PBS and will continue to get feedback on how to use positive behaviors strategies in the classroom. The behaviorists will also work with students and we are excited to have these tools and strategies for our teachers and students!

Extra Masks

Please pack an extra mask in your child's book bag in case of a mask emergency. Students cannot get on the bus without a mask!

Bus Behavior

Negative bus behaviors are on the rise! Please discuss with your child about appropriate bus behavior. Students who do not follow the rules on the bus will be issued a consequence which can include but not limited to removal from the bus route.

Thank you in advance for your support regarding this matter.

Social Media

Please be mindful of your student's social media accounts. There is a lot of talk amongst the students about topics that are being discussed on social media and it is spilling into school. We will not tolerate these behaviors in school.

Report Card Conferences

Conferences will take place on November 22 from 1:00 - 3:30pm and November 23 from 1:00 - 3:30pm and 5:00 - 7:00pm.

Conferences will take place via Zoom, phone call and In-Person. Allotted time slots will be 10 minutes each student due to Covid guidelines. Please be on the lookout for a sign up form that will be sent home with your child. In order to receive a conference you must sign up for a time slot. Any questions, please email Mr. A @ mackiewicz@cccharters.org

Student Attendance including lateness!

Attendance Matters! Students who miss 10% or more including lateness are considered chronically absent. Truancy court will be notified in this case.

Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. This relationship between attendance and achievement may appear early in a child's school career.

Below is our attendance rate for September and October! Please help us get each grade level above 90% PRESENT!
