To Do...
Our district is participating in the BrightBytes technology survey. This survey gathers data on how you use technology at school and at home. Your answers are important! The survey will help our technology department better understand and support the technology needs of our campus. There are no right or wrong answers. The questionnaire should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Who Should Complete the Survey: All professional teachers, library media specialists, instructional coaches and administrators.
Who Should Not take the survey? Paraprofessionals, Assistants, Aides, Clerks,
Custodians, Food Service employees, etc.
Link to complete staff survey: http://www.BByt.es/LLV4T
Please complete survey by Thursday, May 26
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
On Monday, May 2nd, all teachers will be emailed a link to a survey from eswann@hanoversurveys.com at Hanover Research and you will have the opportunity to give feedback to the Katy ISD Curriculum and Instruction Department. Results from this 5-10 minute survey will help the Curriculum and Instruction Department improve and prioritize their work on future trainings and resources. I encourage you to complete this survey to give helpful feedback.
Upcoming Events and Reminders
Parent requests for Teacher Characteristics for 16/17 teachers began last week and continues through this Friday. I have encouraged parents to email me directly. However, please be on the lookout for email or letters from parents with these requests that you may receive. Send them to Jacque if you receive a request.
The Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon is Friday, May 6th from 11:30am-1pm. Detailed lesson plans for volunteers must be left in order for you to attend. There will be no recess while volunteers are on duty. Team Leaders will work together to determine recess times for that day.
Rooms must also be "STAAR Ready" by 4pm on May 6th. If you are a testing proctor, ensure the room you will be testing in is Ready. Complete the Room Readiness Form and tape to your door.
We are a closed campus May 9-13. There will be no visitors, deliveries, etc.
We will continue our Pink and Blue Sticky note class creation process we began last year. I will order "super sticky" pink and blue post-its for us to use. Once these are delivered I will get them to you along with the directions, colored dots, and separation request forms we will use. Cards and Sticky Notes must be completed when you come to your Class Creation Meeting. Please note on the paper calendar the afternoon of your meeting. We will make this a more thoughtful process by completing the meetings after school, instead of during a planning period. Attendance is required. Please note that all TWI and Bilingual Class Creations (K-4) will be on one day.
