Dear HOLA School Community,


I hope you had a nice weekend! My family and I had the opportunity to enjoy the Final Match of the World Cup. I am very proud of the Argentinian National Team for winning the World Cup for Argentina and for all the fans of the team worldwide- and we have a lot of them at Holbrook!


I am also happy to announce that the HVAC system has been repaired for the two classrooms that needed repairs this past Friday, and they were ready for the students on Monday morning.


A former Holbrook family has donated Christmas Trees and Wreaths. Please, feel free to come to the school to get one or many! they are at the front of the school.


Our CARES program is distributing more Food Packs this week. Please, take advantage of this opportunity! They will set up a booth at the front of the cafeteria.


As a team of educators, paraprofessionals and support staff, we are committed to fostering dual language education so that students are bilingual, biliterate , with high academic achievement and global citizenship. This is only possible when families and our staff work together on fostering these opportunities for our Jets: a BIG Thank You for your continued commitment to Dual Language Education.


As we approach our Winter Break, I take this opportunity to wish you and your family Happy Holidays! Felices Fiestas!

School Updates

COVID KITS:

Each teacher will send a Covid kit home with your child on Wednesday, December 21st. Please, make sure you administer the test the day before returning to school on January 8th or on the morning of returning to school on January 9th. If your child tests positive, do not send the child to school and notify the school office. Thank you for helping our school community to stay healthy.



Low temperatures in the next few days: Please, make sure your children bring warm clothing (sweaters and jackets) to school. Our children transition from their classrooms to other areas and they need to be warm when transitioning. Thank you for helping us with this.


Short Week this Week: This is a reminder that our week goes from Monday till Wednesday this week due to the winter Break.


Pick Up and Drop Off: A HUGE thank you to all families for helping make the Pick Up and Drop Off a smooth process. 98% of our families are following the procedures. We use the white zone for quick drop off or pick up. If you want or need to walk your child to school, please park your car in the HOLA parking lot next to the Day Care or across from the school. Ms. Kathy will be helping us out in the morning to facilitate our Drop Off procedure. Please, do not use the parking at the front of the school for parking or dropping/picking up students.

Holiday Staff Potluck:

Thank you for signing up and for bringing food for our HOLA Awesome Staff on December 21st at or before 1:30 pm in room 20.


December of Giving Calendars

Our PFC is organizing a December of Giving Calendar fundraiser. This consists of a calendar of donations so that PFC can support our Jets through activities, rewards and events. They invite you to ask for donations to friends and relatives, or yourself in order to help sponsor the PFC activities. Each day on the calendar has a monetary donation value. You may donate to one or as many days/activities as you want . All contributions are welcome!

You may send any donations in an envelope that will be placed in the Donations Box in the office during the months of December and January.

PFC and HOLA staff thank you ahead of time for any donations.


PFC Meeting:


Tuesday, December 19th at 6:00pm. The meeting will take place in room 20. There will be a zoom session available for those who cannot join in person.
