Junior High Basketball Update
Due to the length of the volleyball season, Junior High basketball has a delayed start this year.
Tryouts will start on Friday, December 1st. Please look for detailed information about dates and times as well as how to sign up after the break.
There will be an open gym (basketball) for Junior High only, from 3:30 – 5pm on Friday, November 18th and 25th, 2022 in the NORTH GYM. This will be a supervised and organized gym time with some drills and games, depending on numbers. All Junior High students are welcome. Students who choose to participate will have to stay in the gym during the entire time and will not be permitted in other areas around the school.

Diploma Prep Sessions
Courses are designed for preparing students to write their Grade 12 diploma exams. The material presented in the classroom over 125 hours will be condensed and highlighted in this focused, 12-hour review course over a weekend. Courses will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a half hour break for lunch. Course will be offered at Salisbury Composite High School (20 Festival Way) in Sherwood Park.
January 7 & 8: English 30-1, 30-2 and Social Studies 30-1, 30-2
January 14 & 15: Mathematics 30-1, 30-2, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, and Physics 30
Registration will open on Monday, October 17. Click here to register. Registration will close on January 4 for English and Social Studies sessions, and on January 11 for Math and Sciences sessions. Student refunds will not be given after registration closes.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by our local church partners, shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way. More information can be found on the link below.

Internet Safety: What Happens When Youth Press Send?

A presentation for parents and caregivers on practicing internet safety with children, youths, and responding to online child sexual exploitation. This course is for any and all caregivers concerned about internet safety.
The topics covered are safe screen time tips, safety tips for different platforms (YouTube and Google), social media safety tips and terms and conditions (TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat), online gaming safety tips, Discord, live streaming, pornography, sexting, communication, helpful tools, online child sexual exploitation and its forms, online grooming techniques, peer sexual exploitation, signs of online child sexual exploitation, and tips for intervention.
Childcare will be provided to encourage all adult family members to attend.
The cost is $5 per family. Registration closes Sunday, November 13.
