Leading Lifelong Learners
Principal's Notes for the week of 4/15-4/18
Teachers,
We are getting down to the wire if you have students that have Fs in your classrooms please be sure to contact those parents via email or phone by the end of next week. We don't want any surprises (not that they don't have Lumen to check).
If you have not done your teacher to teacher observation and documented, you got an email from me. These are mandatory and need to be taken care of shortly. Please do your part to help make NBHS the best place it can be.
In the coming weeks, there are several field trips (senior trip, science, etc) with that in mind as the sponsor you are responsible for making sure that no attends a field trip if they do not meet the expectations of the "Good Standing Policy". Please be sure to check this policy to make sure that you are following the expected guidelines for this policy.
As the year is winding down, please stay on top of your curriculum work. It is due the last day teachers are in session on May 22nd. It will be a part of the end of the year checkoff list If all the required elements are not in as requested a letter of notice will go into the teacher's file. Please do not allow this to happen. You have had plenty of time to complete the curriculum as expected. I will be going through curriculum materials all day on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
May 15th will be the seniors last day of school. It will be a half day! OPAA will be providing a senior breakfast starting at 7:00 a.m. At 8:15 the seniors will be doing the graduation walk-through practice and then at 9:00 the seniors will go over to the elementary for the graduation march that we do each year.
There is an HS PLC meeting on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, in the office next to Mr. Gilmore's room. We will be working on the "High Reliability" materials. Remember we have a faculty meeting on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. This meeting will be fairly short, please come ready to share out what your committee has done this year and where you are going next year. You will also get your end of the year check off list to begin working through.
