Breathing
During the day people breathe about 20,000 times a day. This would not happen without thought windpipe and lungs. Mucus can humidify the air.Sneezes can go 100 hours per hour! Faster than a car!
How the Nose Works
Tiny hairs called cilia protect the nasal passage ways from dust, dirt or other particles. The Respiration System is where people exchange oxygen from the environment of Carbon Dioxide. As air is inhaled the cilia move back and forth pushing any particles toward the nostrils to get the dust out when exhaling.
