Myth/Legend
Orion was such a good hunter that he was hired by the king Oenopion to kill the ferocious beast that was terrifying the habitats of the island Chios. The ancient greeks saw the figure of the greek myth Orion in the night time sky.
Stars
Its brightest stars are Beta and Alpha a blue and white and red star. Many other of the brightest stars in the constellations are hot blue and super giant stars.
Location
Orion is located on the celestial equator and visible throughout the world. Orion can be easily seen in the night sky from November- February of each year. Late fall to winter in the northern hemisphere, late spring to summer in the southern hemisphere.
