Growth Mindset vs. Fixed Mindset

We talked about growth and fixed mindsets previously on a Friday Focus. But, it's been a while and it was really just the tip of the iceberg. In looking ahead to next year, I will be conducting a book study over the book pictured below. There is so much wisdom to be gained from this book and it really is applicable to staff, our students, and our own children. When we move from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset, it changes the way we view our own abilities, how we speak to students, and personal goal setting. It helps us move from the status quo to continuous improvement. It will be the cornerstone of much that we do next year and I would love for you to begin with us on the ground level. Not to mention, you'd also be able to earn exchange day credit. Please email me if you'd like to participate and need a book. I'll order these so you'll have them by the end of the year in case you want it for summer reading.
