Dear Junior Parents and Students,
Looking ahead to the 2023-24 school year, please note that all students entering the 12th grade must have received at least one dose of MCV after their 16th birthday. Typically they will have received one dose prior to 8th grade and the second dose after their 16th birthday.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has mandated that the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV4) be required for all (virtual and in-person) 12th-grade students. All students starting the 12th grade should have two doses of MCV.
This vaccine is required prior to starting the first day of summer school (even if your child is enrolled in virtual summer school). If your child is not attending summer school, then the record of this immunization is required by the first day of school for the 2022-23 school year.
*** If your student has already received his/her shot for their senior year, please fax or email an up-to-date record to the nurse’s office as soon as possible. This will ensure a much smoother transition into the new school year. If you are not sure if your student is up-to-date, please contact your child’s physician.***
Thank you for your attention to this important matter. Please contact the school nurse if you have any questions regarding this vaccine requirement.
Sincerely,
Lisa Terbrock, BSN, RN, NCSN

Teacher Appreciation Opportunity
DEAR LIBERTY PARENTS,
We would like to show our teachers how especially thankful we are for their commitment to teaching our children.
May 1 through May 5 is National Teacher Appreciation Week. We are putting together some fun activities for our teachers including prize drawings.
If you are so inclined and would like to donate something as one of the prizes for this event, we would be very grateful. If you have a business and would like to donate an item or gift card for services, or if you would like to purchase a gift card or other small item, you can send it with your student to be dropped off in the attendance office c/o Lindsay Kiely anytime between now and April 21st.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at lindsaykiely@wsdr4.org Thank you for your support of LHS!
Attendance - Please Email
When possible, please email attendance.liberty@wsdr4.org with any absences or attendance needs. E-mailing is a quicker method than leaving voicemails that often pile up.

- Visit your teacher during their office hours throughout Soar Time (Two 30-minute opportunities are offered weekly). Soar Time Teacher Office Hours Schedule
- Ask to see your teacher during Thursday Nest Time (pre-arrange prior to 2 pm on the Wednesday before Nest Time).
- Attend after-school Academic Assist in room 122 from 2:20 pm - 3:20 pm Monday - Thursday.
- Email your teacher to ask specific questions about assignments that you are struggling to complete.
Taking advantage of all of the above suggestions would lend you over ELEVEN hours of extra help a week!
