Primary students sang songs about PEACE at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration!
Primary News
Dear Primary Families,
Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to Anton, Savanna, Murray, Odyssey and Hartwin! It is so nice to have parents come into the classroom for the Walk Around the Sun. Thank you!
The children did such a wonderful job singing in front of the whole student body on Thursday for Martin Luther King Jr day. Everyone loves to watch the Primary students and bask in their cuteness. These informal performances give students self confidence and help strengthen our school community. Thank you Fran and Tony.
We continue a study of Asia by celebrating the Lunar New Year. We will celebrate Chinese New year with a dragon parade on Thursday at 10am! It is a Primary tradition. Kindergarten students become the dragon and PreK students wear costumes of Asia and play instruments. We had fun practicing on Friday. Ask your child what animal represents this year. Parents are welcome to attend.
We use the Teaching Strategies Gold platform for our child assessments in Primary. These are completed three times a year and are used to demonstrate your child's growth. This is the Report Card coming in the mail soon.
Enjoy this snowy weekend,
