Assessment for Learning

summative and formative

Key Stratgies

Clarify, understanding and sharing learning attention ( Rhyshad, M. 2103)

Summative Assessment

State assessment given to determine what the student knows providing information of the learning process.

Formative Assessment

How both sets of ideas can be implemented to create an effective classroom environment

Formative and summative Ideas

Implementing both ideas in the classroom effectively can influence educators to observe the children on a more personal level to obtain the information needed to ensure that each student is learning on the level that is age appropriate . The assessment will give the teachers a better idea of where the child is in their learning development, what their struggles are and what they need to do to get them to where they need to be. Both working together in the classroom can help teacher prepare strategies and set goals that will allow the children to meet standard expectations.

My Ideas about formative and summative assessment

Formative is way for the teacher and student to reflect on what's being taught, learned and how it's being presented and received for improvement and growth. Summative is an assessment that has goals of expectations to be met.
