Halloween & Harvest Celebrations
Dear Sprague Families,
Sprague will hold Halloween Parties (EC-2) and a Harvest Party (K-2) for students who do not celebrate Halloween on Tuesday, October 31. Other than room parents, families are not invited to attend class parties, but weather permitting, they may attend the parades.
AM Parade & Party: Early Childhood & Half Day Kindergarten
- AM early childhood (EC) and half day kindergarten students will enjoy an indoor parade starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Halloween party. The students will parade in the main hallway and through the Imaginarium.
- Students should wear their Halloween costumes to school.
- Parents are welcome to watch the morning parade through the main hallway.
- Room parents may enter the classrooms to set up for the party and assist students with their costumes at 9:45 a.m.
- Class parties will conclude at 10:55 a.m. (Room Parents Only).
PM EC & K-2 Parade & Party
Full day kindergarten through second-grade, along with PM early childhood students, will enjoy an outdoor parade (weather permitting) followed by a Halloween party.
- Families are welcome to attend the outdoor parade, weather permitting, which will take place behind the school along the playground sidewalks from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.
- Families who cannot attend the afternoon parade may view a live stream on our YouTube Channel.
- Room parents may enter the classroom at 12:45 p.m. to set up for the party and assist students with their costumes, if needed.
- Class parties will conclude at 2:00 p.m (Room Parents Only).
In Preparation for the Parties
To ensure a smooth celebration, we ask for your help in the following areas:
- AM EC and half day kindergarten students may wear their costumes to school. Students in PM early childhood, full day kindergarten, and grades 1-2 should bring their costumes to school in a bag labeled with their names.
- Any item that could serve as a weapon must be left at home.
- Wheeled shoes, rollerblades, skateboards, etc. may not be brought to school.
- Teachers and room parents will assist with costumes and students' makeup.
- Please consult the parking map, which shows where it is legally safe to park near Sprague. Parking is very limited so please arrive early and carpool, if possible.
Harvest Party
Our Sprague Halloween parade/celebration takes place on October 31 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. In an effort to be inclusive for all of our students, we are excited to offer an alternate room for celebration for families/students who do not wish to participate in the Halloween themed activities. This Sprague Harvest Party will take place at the same time as the afternoon Halloween parade and parties. Please complete this Harvest Sprague Party FDK-2 to indicate your interest in having your child participate. Parents are also welcome to take their children home at the time the parties are scheduled.
Snacks and Treats
Sprague School will not provide snacks or treats for students at its Halloween or Harvest parties.
