Homework Help Take 2
Got homework? Can’t make it to the library? No problem. Your local library has a FREE online tutoring service available for all subjects from 4pm-10pm everyday. From assisting with math homework, to giving advice on resumes, all a student (or adult) needs to access this service is a free eAccess (online) library card (click here for the automatic acceptance form). Once you have a library card number, click here http://bit.ly/helpnow19 to get started.
Library: Maker Cart Hang Out
Have a project coming up, and want to let students know of a place where they can have materials to create? Let them know that they can hang out in the Teen Room and use various materials from our Maker Cart to create something truly original. We'll provide supplies, including washi tape, origami paper, button making materials, and more - you bring ideas for this drop-in, self-directed crafting time. Grades 6-12 are welcome at the Beaverton City Library Friday, October 18, 2019 (3:30PM – 5:30PM) Saturday, October 19, 2019 (1:00PM – 4:00PM)
As kids get older and are participating in numerous events, it gets complicated to figure out where everyone is at. Though ‘Find My Friends’ and ‘Find My Phone’ can share locations, Life360 goes a step beyond. It tracks in real time where the person is, (with the free version) allows the user to set two locations (Home/School) so you can be notified when all of your family has reached their destinations. With the free version you can also view real time driving data, and for a small fee receive a service similar to On-Star which automatically calls 911 and specified contacts if it perceives an accident has occurred.
