Boosterthon Is HERE & We Are Excited!
Yelle Newsletter for January 27th!
Hello from the Yelle.
Happy Boosterthon Time! It is Here! We can almost see our students on our new playground!
This week was fabulous here in #HAYNation! This week saw our Boosterthon kicking off on Wednesday with all of the students meeting Triple Z (Zig Zag Zach) and Katie Kat is person! Fun Run season is just so much fun! If you haven't registered yet; there is the way to do so below for #FunRun2023!
As I try to do each week, I use the big picture above to tell the story of the week in pictures for us here at the Yelle.
This week's Big Picture emphasizes the excitement and energy for Boosterthon! We've got some pictures of students doing the Grand Land Adventure dance movements; we've got a bunch of Triple Z; we've got #PositiveSignThursday celebrating how much we are Energized; and we finish with a song from Music class taking us home. Such a fabulous week!
These and the other pictures from Twitter below really do relay a story of the incredible accomplishments our students and teachers have achieved in just this one week of school. Please check them out below and all over our Twitter feed to help to tell the tremendous story we are writing this year.

This message went home through ParentSquare on Friday, January 27th
The Norton Elementary Schools Winter Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held soon, with the conference days being Wednesday, February 8th, from 5 to 7:45PM, and again on Thursday, February 9th from 12Noon to 6PM. *Note that February 9th is an Early Release Day with an 11:40AM dismissal to accommodate for conferences.
Conference sign-ups will once again be online. Conference schedules will go live at 8AM on Monday, January 30th, and will close at 5PM, on Monday, February 6th. Again these parent conferences are primarily in person, but teachers may set up virtual meetings to accommodate parental schedules/abilities.
The purpose of the conferences is to provide an opportunity for teachers to share current information about your child’s student growth, and to provide guardians with a chance to ask questions.
Conference times are ten minutes long. Chairs are set up outside classrooms for folks waiting. Conferences are typically just for adults but kids may wait in the hallway with parents/guardians. Our HAY PTO will also have our Scholastic Book Fair open in the Library for you to check out and purchase books.
On Sunday I will be resending this information below about signing up starting at 8AM, Monday, January 30th morning.
To sign up for Winter Parent-Teacher Conferences, please follow the steps below to sign up for your preferred conference date and time. Time slots fill quickly, so please sign up at your earliest convenience but no later than 5PM, on Monday, February 6, 2023.

We are here to promote and support an innovative educational environment where children with disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities and a school and community environment where all children are encouraged to reach their full potential.
We are here to promote a network for parents/guardians of children with disabilities and provide a forum to share information and discuss matters of relative interest and concern regarding our children.
We are here to promote communication and programs within the community to encourage understanding, respect, acceptance, and inclusion of children with disabilities.
We are here to promote collaboration with the school community to continually improve the educational opportunities available within our schools that promote improved educational outcomes for children with disabilities.
The Norton SEPAC has started a recognition program to honor teachers across the district. Their Heart of Gold program is an excellent way for families to recognize any educators at the Yelle for their hard work with our students. Check it out.
