"It's a Great Day to Be a Warrior!"
Note from Principal Cole
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The mission of Alabaster City Schools is to partner with families and the community to inspire and prepare graduates to be responsible and productive champions of their future.
I would like to thank you for your continuous support and share some things we are excited about at CVES:
- Third Grade students completed ACT Aspire testing in April. We are so proud of them!
- All students participated in the Science festival. Please enjoy this article from the Alabaster Reporter:

- We hosted approximately 75 upcoming Kindergarten students and families during our Kindergarten Tour and Snack. Please enjoy this article from the Alabaster Reporter: http://m.alabasterreporter.com/2017/04/26/upcoming-kindergartners-get-sneak-peek-at-school/
- Please join us on May 16th for our first Student Talent Show. Admission is $5.00 per person. The students will perform on May 17th at 8:30 for the student body at 8:30 and admission is $1.00.
- Please continue to read and play math games with your child this summer.
- This summer, Stride by LTS Education Systems is FREE to all students in the state from May 1 to July 30. Prevent “Summer Slide” with a cool blend of online math, reading, language arts, and science skills practice, spectacular video games for every student interest, and peer competitions to pass the lazy summer days. Students may access the Stride learning platform online anytime, 24-7, on tablets, PCs, and Macs. Register and login at www.AlabamaSummerStride.com. LTS will provide a dedicated Parent Support Line for the Summer Learning Challenge. Parents can call in to 1-844-274-7474 for help with Stride.
- The Lexile-based “Find a Book, Alabama” tool (www.Lexile.com/fab/Alabama) offers students over 260,000 books from which to choose. This book-search tool enables individuals to build custom reading lists based on their Lexile range and/or personal interests and checks the availability of books at the local library. The search tool includes a growing collection of English literary and informational books.
- School Supplies can be ordered online and delivered to your child's classroom. Please visit this website: http://www.1stdayschoolsupplies.com/list.php?school_zip=35114
Thank you for your continuous support of Creek View Elementary. I hope you have a relaxing and safe summer. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
