Band Camp Edition #2

Friday Performance information

Since we do not have a home stadium this year, our athletic director, Mr. Alsbro, has been working with the surrounding schools to find us a place to perform on Friday, July 26th.

I'm happy to say we have a venue! We will be performing at the Lakeshore Rocket Football Field on Friday, July 26th at 6:00pm. Here is the schedule we will follow on Friday:

8:00am-12:00pm - rehearsal at Berrien Springs (as normal)

12:00-1:30pm - lunch and camp awards at Berrien Springs

1:45pm - load the buses and leave for Lakeshore Rocket Football Field

2:10pm - arrive and unload

2:30pm-4:45pm - rehearse

5:00pm - dinner

5:45pm - pictures and line up

6:00pm - Parent and community performance at Lakeshore Rocket Football Field (students need khaki/tan shorts; their t-shirt will be provided)

6:20pm - load trailer

6:30pm - leave Lakeshore and return to Berrien Springs.

Any student who wishes to ride home with their parent after the performance is welcome to do so. Attached to this newsletter is a copy of the ride permission form. All students must have the form filled out by Wednesday, July 26th. There will be hard copies available on Monday and Tuesday at check in.

You can check out our previous band camp newsletter here. That newsletter has information on what supplies your student should bring to camp next week. All students need to have the attached medical form filled out at the start of camp.

Help Needed to Put Up Tent

We are in need of a few extra hands to help us erect a tent by our practice field. The tent will be critical to provide shade for our students during rehearsal breaks.

We will need help at 10am this Sunday, July 21st.
