Rockbrook Halloween Parties, Fri, Oct 29th @ 2:30pm
Fun and Friendly Costumes Please!
Halloween is coming soon, and we look forward to the chance to return to many of our traditional Halloween events. It’s time to think about your costumes. For our school parade and party please wear only fun and friendly costumes. Fun and friendly excludes blood, gore, scary/frightening masks or clothing, and weapons. If anyone has questions concerning the appropriateness of a costume, please contact the office. Thank you for keeping things on the fun and light side!
Note: Given masks and limited time for changing, we request you to reserve makeup for your evening trick-or-treating.
Parade and Parties
Please do not have your child wear costumes to school. If your child's costume includes typical school-appropriate clothing or can be worn underneath, these are great options. Students will have some time afforded to change before the parade but need to do so with minimal assistance from teachers.
Due to safety protocols the decision has been made to limit the number of visitors to our Halloween parties. We appreciate our families' support in providing these fun opportunities for kids and can only permit 2 parent volunteers per classroom.
The annual costume parade is back! If weather permits, this parade will come out the Northwest doors, along the parking lot, and back in the main entrance before the parties begin. Parents are welcome to come view the parade outside which will take place at 2:30pm.
Please remember to follow the District Approved Snack List. Linked is the lists of what to bring for parties or birthdays. Thanks for helping to make Rockbrook a caring community for all of our students. We hope you have a fun and safe Halloween!

Unity Day - Wednesday, October 20th
Dear Rockbrook Families,
We are excited to share with you that our school community will be celebrating Unity Day on Wednesday, October 20th this year. Unity Day is an annual event occurring during National Bullying Prevention Month in October that promotes joining together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. It was started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011 and is now celebrated around the world! For more information on the history of Unity Day and its impact, please go to https://www.PACER.org/bullying/about/history.asp.
Wear something Orange on Unity Day! So that all are included, every student and staff member will be provided with something orange in celebration of Unity Day. We will also celebrate with a building wide activity that promotes a kind and inclusive school environment.
We hope you’ll take this opportunity to talk to your children about bullying prevention and all the positive things we can do to make healthier communities.
Unfortunately, the game scheduled for this Friday has been canceled and is not expected to be re-scheduled. We are looking into seeing if another Rockbrook Night might be an option.
As we are entering the season of giving, we are so excited to be welcoming 12 new locations that are proud to give back through TAGG when you snap a photo of your receipt!
TAGG loves supporting and promoting local businesses, so please help us spread the word about our end of year special for new businesses! They get 3 months free and you get up to $50 for referring them. More details below.
Important Arrival Times
- Students coming for breakfast should be dropped off no earlier than 8:05 and need to buzz in at the north entrance.
- Students not coming to breakfast should be dropped off no earlier than 8:10, when supervisors come on duty at the north doors.
- For our kindergarten drop off we ask that parents either stay with their child or wait to drop off until 8:20 at the south entrance, when they will be let in. (Any students coming before 8:20 either need to come to the north entrance or have a parent wait with them).
- Class starts at 8:30 so any students arriving after that time need to be checked in at the office.
