Dear Friends,

I'm training for the Nike Women's Half Marathon!

Help me CURE blood cancers!

I will be participating as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training (TNT) program. TNT exists to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

TNT is LLS's largest fundraising program, bringing in nearly $98 million this past year alone. Each participant in the program pledges to raise a certain amount of money during the 4 months they train for their event. I have set a personal goal to raise at least $3,500.

I need your support! Your donation is tax-deductible and no donation is too small. TNT offers a unique opportunity because your donation not only funds research to find a cure for blood cancer, but also gives you the chance to support me in my efforts to achieve a daunting life goal!

My goal is to reach $3,300 by March 6, so your quick response is greatly appreciated!

Because of LLS's commitment to finding a cure, 75% of all the money you donate will go directly to research and patient aid. This number is significantly higher than many nonprofit organizations, and is something LLS is very proud of.

How much should I donate?

Here are some examples of costs or amounts:

-Prescription Co-Pay Reimbursement - $30

-Cost of a family support group meeting - $55

-Disease Information booklets for oncology office - $75

-Patient aid reimbursement for one year - $150

-Daily salary for an LLS sponsored researcher - $150

-Cost of a patient education program - $200

-$1 for every mile you will run/walk on race day - $13.10/$26.20

-$2 for every mile you will run/walk on race day - $26.20/$52.40
