Congratulations to our Principal Honor Roll Students for Quarter 1 in the 2019-2020 School Year!
We are so proud of all our students and their hard work on their academics for Quarter 1. Thanks to their perseverance and effort, we noticed a decrease in the number of students not passing one or more classes this quarter. We are so proud of you all.
Congratulations to the 157 7th & 8th-grade students that all earned a 2.5 to 2.83 GPA for Quarter 1!
Congratulations to the 200 7th & 8th-grade students that all earned a 3.0 to 3.49 GPA for Quarter 1!
Congratulations to the 518 7th & 8th-grade students that earned a 3.5 to 4.0 GPA for Quarter 1. (This is an increase of 27 students from Qrt 1 in the 2018-2019 school year)!!
We will be distributing Principal Honor Roll Letters to these students this week and every student will earn a Plainsmen Buck for demonstrating our SUCCEED values.
We are Thankful for our Sierra Vista Community!
We appreciate everyone's patience with the ongoing announcements and varied school schedules that arose as a result of the potential power shut-offs that impacted our school site. We are also so grateful for the heroic support and hard work of our fire department and sheriffs for helping to keep so many of our families safe and their homes undamaged as a result of the Tick Fire. We know this was a very trying time for many of our SV students, staff, and their families. We are happy that everyone is safe!
We want to extend our gratitude and appreciation to all of our Sierra Vista Families! Thank you so much for the support you provide to our school community. Your students make such a positive contribution to our school and make such a difference in our lives.
We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! May your holiday be filled with cherished celebrations with family and friends.
Together We Succeed!
With gratitude to you all!
Ms. Hoffman
Student Safety is A Priority!
Also, please remind your students that we do not tolerate horseplay or "playing around" with peers at school to ensure that no one gets hurt. This means students should not be touching, grabbing, kicking, pushing, or poking other students. Students should also not be grabbing other students by their backpack straps. Also, students are asked to walk on campus and not run to prevent themselves from falling or knocking into other peers on campus.
We want to ensure that students remain safe! Thanks for taking a moment to remind your student of the importance of following our SUCCEED values.

We invite all parents to join us on campus for this annual tradition. Please arrive no earlier than 1:10 pm and sign in via the main office or gate near the field. Please bring a lawn chair and weather-appropriate clothing. Due to supervision needs, we regrettably are unable to permit any CHS students unaccompanied by their parents/adult or any local elementary students without an adult chaperone.
***If you plan on picking your student up early for dismissal, please understand that after the start of lunch and throughout the Turkey Bowl it is difficult for us to locate your child in a timely manner. We ask for your patience.
