November 2018
From the Principal's Desk
Welcome to the month of GRATITUDE! In keeping with the spirit of that, please know how immensely grateful I am for all of our Mary Frank families, staff, and students. I wake up every morning feeling so blessed to be part of your lives.
Of utmost importance to PHM, and to our staff, is the idea of keeping your children safe. With that in mind, the state of Indiana has also recently included mandatory curriculum on the topic of child abuse and child sexual abuse and PHM has a plan in place to respond to this new law. A letter (see HERE) went home during Parent-Teacher Conferences about this curriculum. Schools are provide instruction on this topic, and should be provided by a qualified person. For PHM, that instruction will be provided by the Youth Services Bureau staff of St. Joe County. You may also access this information via our school website under "School Info." There will be a presentation at Schmucker Middle School on November 5th at 5:30pm if you wish to know more about this topic and its presentation format to students. You can also access the curriculum at Fight Child Abuse.org.
If you have any questions, please attend the meeting on November 5th at Schmucker Middle School.
In service of your child,
Mrs. Heerschop
