- If you are taking the WorkKeys test Dec. 5-9 to please be studying/reviewing!
If you have not paid the $25 computer usage fee for 16/17, please do so immediately. We were eager to get the computers out to students for instructional purposes that we gave many computers out having not first collected the fee. Take care of this fee in the library!
Please remember to pay if you owe cafeteria fees! See Mrs. Davis, our cafeteria manager, if you need to know if you have an outstanding balance! You can pay for lunch fees any day!
Sophomores, juniors and seniors….GREAT NEWS…the ASVAB test will be given at RHS on Wednesday, December 14th beginning at 7:30am! This test is the most widely used multiple aptitude test in the world! It assesses your ability to learn new skills and is a predicator of success in training and education programs. The ASVAB also includes an interest inventory and other resources designed to help you explore the world of work and gain confidence in making career decisions. This test is FREE but sign up is required! Please stop by the front office or see Mrs. Jarman in the 200 hall to get your name on the list for this excellent opportunity! (12/12
Jostens representative will be here Wednesday, December 7th, during lunch to take make-up graduation orders. We still have 100 seniors who have not ordered a graduation package. Remember, each senior should purchase a cap, gown, tassel, diploma and diploma cover. See Mrs. Marriott in Rm. 312 with questions or concerns.
Club News
- FFA is collecting winter clothes to donate to those in need in the community. Please bring any new or gently used winter clothing no longer needed to RHS by Friday December 2nd.
- Juniors, the Richlands Rotary Club is looking for juniors interested in attending its District Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) event that will be held at the Trinity Center, Pine Knoll Shores January 27-29, 2017. All expenses and transportation to and from this event will be covered by the Richlands Rotary Club. At least two juniors will be selected. Please see Mr. Fuller (room 305) or the folder outside of his door to pick up an application. Applications were due no later than November 22.
Guidance/Scholarship Resources
- A representative from Coastal Carolina Community College will be on campus on Tuesday, November 29th. Sign up in guidance if you would like to schedule a meeting (11/28).
- Wildcat Families, our annual Angel Tree project is under way! This project is aimed to help struggling families in our communities provide for their child or children for Christmas! Last year, we sponsored 13 families for a total of 45 individuals, and because of the giving community we live in each individual received approximately 8 gifts! This year we have paperwork for 16 families for a total of 55 individuals. We need your help! We are looking for people/families/organizations to help us sponsor these families and individuals for Christmas. Please help us spread the word about this project, and if you are interested in sponsoring please contact Nicole Cox--our school counselor!
