About Tantalum

Tantalum is used for camera lenses, and capacitors. This element was found in 1802 by a Sweedish scientist named Anders Ekeberg. This metal is a solid and I found highly reactive on the periodic table.

Why I Adopted Tantalum

I adopted my element from the periodic table. Tantalum has an atomic number of 73 and the atomic mass of 180.95. I found my new element in the group 5 and period 6. It has 4 isotopes, and has a nickname which is Ta which is his chemical symbol. I chose a solid for adoption so it wouldn't get me wet and I can see it. Similar elements I may have chosen is vanadium or niobium because it was was in the same family. Before I adopted Tantalum the price was a factor he was $450 per 100g. Also Tantalum had no odor which is great and has a silvery gray color.
